HERITAGE LIVE – SANDRINGHAM ESTATE
Statement of Works
CommandPost® worked closely with UK HSSE advisory firm Complivent and festival promoter Heritage Live to deliver a series of large-scale outdoor concerts at the Royal Sandringham Estate in Norfolk. The events featured internationally recognised artists, including the Pet Shop Boys, Mariah Carey, Stereophonics, and Michael Bublé.
The Royal Sandringham Estate, a 25,000-acre property privately owned by the Royal Family, required organisers to comply with strict estate protocols, which included detailed plans and monitoring to adhere to heritage preservation, grounds and asset protection, noise management, and wildlife disturbance controls.
CommandPost® was deployed as an integrated crisis, emergency, and incident management system, providing real-time oversight to manage production, compliance requirements, and incident response.
As the event was staged on the grounds of the Sandringham Estate, organisers were required to comply not only with UK licensing and local authority regulations but also with the Royal Household’s protocols. Meeting these obligations highlighted the need to move beyond shared document processes and radio communications, turning to CommandPost® for real-time situational awareness and detailed audit trail of activity across the permitted site.
Complivent’s HSSE advisors used live data to track incidents, monitor outstanding actions, and confirm closeout. This ensured compliance was evidenced and operational risks were actively managed, resulting in proactive approach to event safety and compliance obligations.
CommandPost® provided a centralised interface that enabled a real-time understanding of activity, compliance with Royal Estate protocols, and production tasking across the 25,000-acre site. All activity was logged and triaged to capture a detailed audit trail, significantly reducing resolution times and allowing many incidents to be closed within minutes. Through the elimination of duplication, improved response times, and data-driven decision-making, CommandPost® enabled the event to operate with greater efficiency and control.
